How to Make Your Lash Sets Last 6+ Weeks

When clients invest in a beautiful set of lash extensions, they want them to look good for as long as possible. While natural lash shedding means extensions will never stay completely full forever, good application technique, the right products and proper aftercare can make a huge difference to lash retention.

So, how can you help your clients keep their lash sets looking fresh for 6+ weeks?

1. Start with a thorough cleanse

One of the biggest factors affecting lash retention is how clean the natural lashes are before application.

Oil, makeup, skincare, dust and natural oils can create a barrier between the natural lash and adhesive. Before starting your treatment, make sure the lashes are thoroughly cleansed and completely free from residue.

A good lash shampoo can also be recommended as part of your client's regular aftercare routine. Clean lashes aren't just healthier, they can also help prevent build up around the extensions.

2. Choose the right adhesive

Not every adhesive is going to work for every lash tech, client or salon environment. Your glue needs to suit your working speed, temperature and humidity.
